I took down the $55 6-max tonight on stars.. It's my second win in my last 17 tourneys, both in 6-max events.. I got deep in another 6-max as well, I'm going to really seek them out now.
But, man, am I running hot. The last 16 days I have had a few losing cash games days and tourney days and all, but on the whole, I'm playing my best poker ever and running hotter than I've ever run. Everytime I make the right, +EV play in my estimation, but at the wrong time, I get bailed out.
Today in the tourney, I won every all-in where I was a favorite, and lost one flip. On one hand, it folded to the SB, who had raised 50% of the hands when folded to in the SB.. He raised, I had like 13M and AJ. I wasn't folding, I had an awkward stack size to 3bet and play a flop, so I shoved. He snap called KK, I flopped top two, and sailed into 3rd place. At that point, I looked everyone left up on pokerdb, and found that none of the other 17 players had ever won a tournament for more than 1K, except for one player who was short stacked. He'd won 3K, but I still felt from his stats and watching him, I was better. So I had chips, extreme confidence that I was the best player left and most were losing players in the long run, and the better table draw with 2 left. I obviously ended up heads up with the only player who was anywhere close to as good as me, but I grinded him down and frustrated him into calling off 44 on a 932 flop when I had 93.
Gotta love getting it in for the tourney with a 2:1 chip lead as about an, I'm guessing, 87% favorite.
