Hi guys.
Lately i have been playing alot of 6player SNG's. I really enjoy playing these at the moment. I can get down to heads up very regularly.
Out of the last 11 times ive gotten to HU i seem to have only cracked the top stop 3 times.
The first couple of times i got there, i got there and was short. So i thought this might be the issue. The next few times after that i was getting there not so short on money. I was trying to find a few more spots to pick up extra cash and it was working.
Even a couple of those times i came in with a big lead and couldnt capitalise. Last night really bugged me.
He had only 1500 and i had 7500 and i couldnt get there (blind at the start of HU were 50/100). Id call from the button and he'd push, id muck. He'd fold into my BB. This happened a few times so i raised more (even though i was not getting any cards.) I'd raise, he'd push. I was getting 10 3o, 46s 74o and cards like that. It was unlikely to get anything. He was being ultra agressive. I Tried to wait for a decent hand as my lead was so big. He kept trying to gamble. and any raise id make he was almost commited anyways so i needed to be careful of that.
I called his push one time and he doubled up making us even pretty much. The next time i called his all in i had better cards but his two cards were live and he hit and i lost.
How should i have played having that kind of lead? I tried waiting for something but it didnt come. I tried getting ultra aggressive when he was and took down a few pots but it wasnt enough. He just kept trying to play it all preflop. I got frustrated as no matter what i tried i didnt turn out.
The last hand i did have the better of it but it still fell his way. But i let him get to that position.
I just cant seem to convert many HU to wins lately.
