View Thread : Railing
overcast
Hey Max just saw a thread from FullofBullets in the General forum asking members to rail him in a tournament. I think that 'railing' is a great way to build a stronger community and get to know each other a bit better.
Perhaps if there was a new section heading eg) 'Come rail me!' , or whatever, then this would encourage these posts.
Just an idea, reactions from members would be good to see how useful this installment would be.

If we do it, let's use the proper vernacular.
The word is "sweating", not "railing".

Yea railing is used for other things, :D

I always thought the term was railing as if you were standing on the rail guard of the final table. Sweating makes more sense for online tourneys though.
It was definitely cool having a few members of the forum in the chat last night supporting me. (BTW, Thanks again guys!!) So I think it would be a neat idea.

Sounds like a good idea to me, not sure we want to break off another forum specifically for it though. Thoughts?

I thought that it worked okay in the General Discussion Forum.
It's more like a sub-directory type of thing than an actual independent forum...
Tough Call for sure.

Yeah on second thoughts it might be a little silly to create another heading just for this, but ppl should definitely start letting everyone know if they make it deep in a tourney.

The first time I heard it was an announcement at a tournament: "All sweaters must be behind the rail."
I thought, "Why would they have a rule about sweaters?"
